On 10 April 2008, the Association formally requested scholars representing various academic disciplines to prepare expert opinions concerning the recognition of the Silesian speech as a regional language.

Seven scholars responded to the above request and submitted their expert opinions to the Association. The contributors included: Dr hab. Jolanta Tambor (University of Silesia), Dr Tomasz Wicherkiewicz (Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań), Dr Tomasz Kamusella (University of Opole), Dr Elżbieta Anna Sekuła (SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities), Dr Artur Czesak (Jagiellonian University), Rev. Dr hab. Jerzy Dadaczyński, Juan Lajo (Academy of the Asturian Language).
